The CatClawZ stomper started out hand bent and I made just 3 for myself but that didnt last long… it started with the crew than slowly evolved into others wanting in on the CatClawZ. The Design slowly changed in the last 2 years to accommodate different terrain ranging from hard packed rocky gravel areas to muddy and sandy soft soils. From Benches to Docks and even strap it to a tree. These Stompers are the ultimate bank rod holder that has a all in one package for most areas on a river or lake bank! The StomperZ are made with 5/16th cold rolled steel formed in a top of the line amada press brake. The stomp plate is laser cut and also etched with CatClawz on it. The stomp plate is made from 11g steel and is used to stomp in the ground with your foot but also can be hammered into ground with mallet or hammer as well. The ClawZ are super durable but also there is enough flexibility for spikes to move around hidden rocks and other object under the ground. The stomp plate has 2 holes on it, middle is for an INCLUDED 3rd 3/8 cold rolled removable spike used for the softer soil areas to give it extra hold! Everything is fully tig weld together and then upon completion the holders are cleaned and shined up to remove any oily residue on the holder. These holders are truly one of a kind! Hands down most versatile holders no need for those other brands that sell those expensive add-ons! , And the Quality is TOP NOTCH!
My goal is to make a quality rod holder, make fishing fun and most importantly create SMILES
Keep on Huckin!
The Beginning, The Dream, and The Creation
It all started 9 Years ago when i got invited to a camping trip on the river to fish for flatheads. Knowing nothing about catfish, my buddies (now we are known as the Wisco Flathead hunters) gave me a list of hooks, rigs and weight sizes to grab before getting to camp. As i arrived and got camp set up quickly, i had one rod with a 3 way rig so i hucked it out thinking what the heck am i doing throwing almost 2 pounds of tackle and bait out haha, but quickly found out 30 minutes later as i hooked into what i thought was a fish of a lifetime fighting it threw the current. My first flatty 13.5lb flatty and i was hooked from then on!
I started building and upgrading every year. Upgrading rods, reel, and rigs but it wasnt enough. I wasn’t satisfied with expensive gear as it lacked quality so i started making things to help with catfishing. One major object was the rod holder. First it was PVC and fence post because i just didnt like the spiral holders that cost like 14 buck and were just too weak for my liking as my rods and reels were something i couldn’t afford to lose. They worked great and to this day my pb flathead of 55lbs was caught using them but within 2 years the holders started to break. At this point it was time to use my metal fabricating skills to design something unique, versatile, durable, light weight and most importanly quality!
